Our Story
The Kinzua Youth Development Center (KYDC) is dedicated to fostering personal and social responsibility in children, adolescents, and young adults through dynamic, positive youth development programs. Located at 200 Struthers Street, our center, home to the Kinzua Wrestling Club, uses physical activity as a cornerstone to build life skills, emphasizing respect, giving best efforts, self-direction, and helping others. We have created a “we build up” environment where youth are encouraged to nourish their bodies with healthy habits, move boldly through engaging activities like wrestling, tumbling, and mobility camps, and grow into responsible, community-minded individuals. Our programs inspire young people to lead through positive action, connecting physical wellness with personal growth.
Our mission integrates physical activity and leadership development encouraging youth to unleash their strength to conquer challenges while staying grounded. Through hands-on sessions, leadership workshops, and various programs, we teach young people that true leadership is rooted in kindness and teamwork. By partnering with community organizations like the YMCA, the Master Gardeners of Warren, and local law enforcement, we provide diverse opportunities for youth to explore opportunities, develop empathy, and build connections. Our programs are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and fun, ensuring every participant discovers the leader within themselves while embracing a healthy lifestyle.
