Sunday Open Mat
KWC will be hosting practices every Sunday (except December 29) from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM for all area middle school, high school, and experienced youth wrestlers - who are looking for a little extra time in the practice room. Warning - there is a bit of dodgeball played on Sundays! Coaches Garrett Smead, Dan Pascuzzi and Matt Lowry will headline these practices. All area coaches are welcome to help out.
Youth Practice
Area youth practices will be held Tuesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM until November 26, 2024. These practices are tailored towards youth with more than 2 years of wrestling experience OR ages 10 to 13.
Kane Vs Warren Youth Dual Match
The Warren Little Dragons host the Kane Wolves youth wrestling team in a dual match at the Kinzua Wrestling Club on Sunday December 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

Middle School/High School Pre-season Practices
6th - 12th Grades
Pre-season Middle School/High School practices will be held Wednesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM until November 13. All area middle school/high school wrestlers may attend regardless of experience level.
Girls "Try It" Camp
July 15 - 17, 2024. 10:00 - 11:15 AM. This camp is specifically catered to girls to provide them a positive introduction to wrestling rules, movements, and strategy in a safe environment with their peers. This camp is open to girls of all ages who may be interested in giving the sport a try. Instructors will be KWC coaches and female wrestler club members.
Educational Movement Camp
Dan Mclaughlin will host an educational movement/tumbling class for youth ages 10 and under with an emphasis on body control and wrestling movements. This program will be offered Monday July 8th - Thursday July 11th from 10:00 - 11:15 AM. Register by clicking on the View Event button below.
Youth 6U-12U
Youth Practices (Wednesdays 6-7:30 PM)
Wednesdays - Youth practices will include a mixture of technique practice and wrestling-related games and activities. These are designed for the 6U - 12U age groups.
Girls Only Night!
Tuesdays - Girls Only Night is for female wrestlers of all ages and experience levels. Come be a part of the fastest growing scholastic sport in the US. Featured clinicians will be Paul Waite, Amanda Amsler, and Jimmy Wiles. NO PRACTICE TUESDAY JULY 9TH
YMCA Youth Wrestling Camp
This FREE camp will introduce participants ages 5-11 to the sport of wrestling. Held at the Kinzua Youth Development Center/Kinzua Wrestling Club. Cost for this camp is sponsored by the Kinzua Wrestling Club. Click on the picture to register.

Sanshiro Abe Clinic
The next club practice will be this Thursday May 9th from 6:00 - 7:30 with guest clinician Sanshiro Abe - 4-time all American at Penn State, 1996 NCAA Champion - Sanshiro "Sunny" Abe. Abe (pronounced Ah-bay) placed 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in the NCAA championships for Penn State. He competed in the 1996 Olympics in freestyle wrestling for his native Japan. Abe has coached Pittsburgh Central Catholic HS, North Allegheny HS and Pitt Bull Wrestling Club. It will be an honor to have him at the club - can you name the other 2 PSU 4-time all-Americans that we have hosted? Also, Abe's birthday is Sunday - let's be prepared to sing him a good one!
Media Day
Kinzua Wrestling Club to Hold High School Media Night
Warren, PA. The Kinzua Wrestling Club is hosting a local media night for area high school wrestling teams on Wednesday November 29 at the Kinzua Wrestling Facility (200 Struthers Street).
The media events will commence at 5:30 with an introduction of the high school teams/coaches present. There will be a brief scoring/rule demonstration for parents and junior wrestlers in attendance following team introductions. There will also be a youth practice for all Warren County wrestlers immediately following the program at 6:10.
All high school wrestlers will be available for interviews (WICU/WSEE, D9-D10 Sports, Your Daily Local, Lilly Broadcasting, and Warren Times Observer) and photos following the rules portion of the program.
"Female Athlete Triad" Education
The Kinzua Wrestling Club will offer a seminar entitled “The Female Athlete Triad: Education & Treatment” this coming Monday, September 11th. This seminar is specifically geared for female athletes and their parents who compete in the sports of wrestling, cross country, and gymnastics. However, everyone participating in a girl’s sport is encouraged to attend.
The one-hour informational session will provide education to understand the dangers and potential consequences of the Triad. The Female Athlete Triad consists of three components: amenorrhea (loss of a girl’s period), insufficient nutrition, and osteoporosis resulting in bone density loss. All of this has potential to impact a young girl during her peak bone-building years.
Penn State Clinic in conjunction with Bad Karma Wrestling
Kinzua Wrestling Club and Bad Karma Wrestling present Penn State wrestlers Carter Starocci, Gary Steen, Alex Facundo, Connor Pierce, Sean Wang, Josh Barr leading a 2-session clinic on Sunday August 27th with autographs and pictures to follow. Leg Riding Clinic
Coach Mark Steen of Bad Karma, father of Penn State wrestler Gary Steen, presents a leg-riding clinic at the Kinzua Wrestling Club on Sunday, July 30th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon. Some of Bad Karma’s best leg riders will be present! This clinic is free for KWC members. Click on the link below for more information and to register.
Tumbling Class (#2)
Former Warren high school and current DI Edinboro wrestler Joey Arnold and former Warren gymnast and diver Katie Madigan host a tumbling class for youth ages 10 and under with an emphasis on body control and wrestling movements. This program will be offered Monday June 12 - Thursday June 15th from 10:00 - 11:30 AM and Monday July 17 - Thursday July 20th from 10:00 - 11:30 AM.

Folkstyle
Folkstyle Workouts (Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7:30 PM)
Folkstyle practices are designed to improve techniques in preparation for next year’s scholastic season. These workouts are open to wrestlers who will be in middle/high school.
Ø The Nickel City Duals (Buffalo, NY-June 10, 2023) will be the debut for a KWC Dual Meet Team. The weights are: 102 110 118 126 132 138 145 152 160 172 189 215 285.
College Coaches Series
College Coaches Series (Tuesdays 6-8:00 PM)
The Kinzua Wrestling Club is offering a five-part weekly technique series featuring head coaches from local colleges and universities beginning on Tuesday April 25th. These technique sessions will allow area wrestlers to meet prospective coaches from all college divisions along with some of their wrestlers and learn what it might take to compete in wrestling beyond high school.
Matt Hill (Edinboro University) and Keith Ferraro (Clarion University) headline the local NCAA Division I universities. NCAA Division II is represented by Don Henry from Gannon University. NCAA Division III will be represented by Blake Heim of the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford, and finally NJCAA Hall of Famer and former Jamestown Community College coach Kris Schimek is representing the community/junior colleges.
These presentations are free and open to any wrestler at the KWC’s new home at 200 Struthers Street (i.e., former Riverside Bowling Alley) commencing on Tuesday April 24 from 6-8:00 PM and continuing on consecutive Tuesday nights thru May 23rd.

WRESTLING WITH LIFE: TRANSITIONING FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO ADULTHOOD
Warren, PA: The Kinzua Wrestling Club is offering a three-part series intended to help prepare high school students for the transition from high school to adulthood. These presentations are open to any high school student and/or student-athlete at their new home, 200 Struthers Street (i.e., former Riverside Bowling Alley) Session I - Monday April 24 at 6-7:30 PM. Session II - Monday May 1 at 6-7:30 PM. Session III - Monday June 5 at 6-7:30 PM.
